FAQ · Sizing
How do I choose the right vent cover size?
Measure the duct or wall opening first, then match the closest SOKNOCKK catalog size in White or Black. Label sizes on an old cover can help, but the opening measurement is what matters for fit.

Quick Answer
Measure opening width × height, compare to catalog sizes (for example 6×4, 10×6, 16×4, 22×4), then pick White or Black. If you are between sizes or the opening is damaged, photograph it and ask before ordering.
- Measure the opening, not only the decorative face.
- Use Confirmed sizes on Vent Covers when ready to shop.
- See How to Measure Your Vent Opening for step-by-step photos.
1. What to Measure
Hold a tape measure across the visible duct or wall opening — the rectangle the cover must fit. Record width and height in inches. Many homeowners measure the outer trim by mistake; that dimension is useful context but not the primary catalog selector.

2. Nominal vs Actual Size
Industry labels (for example “10×4” on an old register) describe a nominal size family. Your opening may differ slightly. Compare your measurement to the closest catalog row rather than assuming the stamped label is exact.

3. How SOKNOCKK Catalog Sizes Work
SOKNOCKK lists decorative linear-style vent covers by opening size and finish. The public catalog presents Confirmed Size+Color combinations with product photography and a BUY ON AMAZON path. Combinations still labeled Amazon Link Pending are not treated as available to buy on this site.
After measuring, browse Vent Covers and open the size that matches your opening. Use the size-specific How-to-Measure module on the product page when available.
4. White or Black Finish
Choose finish after size is confirmed. White pairs with common trim; Black suits modern millwork and dark ceilings. Product photos on Confirmed listings reflect the Size+Color you select.
5. Supply vs Return Context
Size selection is similar for many visible openings, but return paths deserve extra airflow awareness. Identify the opening type before you shop: Supply Vent vs Return Vent.
6. When to Ask for Help
Contact SOKNOCKK with photos and dimensions if the opening is damaged, non-rectangular, or between catalog sizes. Use Contact or Add to Quote on a product page for quote requests.
